10A NCAC 41A .0401: Dosage and Age Requirements for Immunization

The purpose of this rule change is to bring Immunization Branch vaccine requirements in line with recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) concerning Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine, Varicella Vaccine and Meningococcal Vaccine.

The Commission for Public Health specifically requests public comments on the cost-effectiveness of the varicella booster requirement given assumptions and uncertainties surrounding cost and benefit estimates.

A public hearing was held on February 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cardinal Room, located at 5605 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC 27609.
